The HDBaseT Alliance, the cross-industry group tasked with promoting and advancing HDBaseT technology, will attend CEDIA EXPO 2015, in Dallas, Texas, and offer several enrichment and training courses for professional installers and integrators.  HDBaseT is the ‘de facto’ standard for the transmission of uncompressed ultra-high-definition video & audio, controls, Ethernet, USB and up to 100W of power over a single cable.

AVnu Alliance, Cisco and TTTech to host the Deterministic Ethernet Forum for automotive in-vehicle networking and the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), taking place October 23, 2015 in Vienna, Austria. The forum will be an opportunity for leading automotive and industrial companies to discuss and influence the implementation of deterministic Ethernet solutions and related standards.

VTM Group today announced its inclusion in the 2015 CIO 100 Awards, an award distributed by IDG’s CIO magazine that recognizes organizations demonstrating IT innovation. VTM Group earned the honor for Causeway, collaboration software that integrates work product co-development, document storage, document sharing, balloting, time management and other features into a single platform. This award marks another significant achievement for VTM Group as it reaches a milestone anniversary—20 years.

The InfiniBand® Trade Association (IBTA) today announced the launch of the RoCE Initiative to further the advancement of RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) technology and promote RoCE awareness. The RoCE Initiative will provide education, case studies and resources to enable CIOs, enterprise data center architects and solutions engineers to achieve improved application performance and data center productivity.

The HDBaseT Alliance, the cross-industry group tasked with promoting and advancing HDBaseT technology, will once again be present at InfoComm International.  This year, the Alliance will be showcasing new HDBaseT products and solutions at its booth (1769).  HDBaseT technology, powered by Valens, enables all-in-one connectivity between high-definition video sources and remote displays, through a single cable, including uncompressed ultra-HD video & audio, Ethernet, USB, control signals, and up to 100W of power.

Today, the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) and Power Matters Alliance (PMA), industry leaders in wireless charging technology, have announced the signing of the merger agreement between the two organizations.  The merger positions the combined organization as the leader in wireless charging, bridging two core wireless charging technologies. The transaction establishes a core charging standard supporting a wide range of consumer, medical, military and industrial applications.

Today, the Open Interconnect Consortium, Inc. (OIC) announced the addition of 25 new member organizations thus far in 2015. These companies and nonprofits hail from regions around the world including Greater China, South Korea, North America, Western Europe and the Middle East. They offer products and services in a variety of sectors ranging from energy and engineering to gaming and education. In addition, OIC welcomed a new executive director, Mike Richmond, who has held an array of product marketing and business management leadership roles at Intel Corporation since 1981.
